Mentorship Program
Guidance That Goes Beyond the Red Rocks Community College Scholarship
At AWRSAY, we believe that every student deserves someone in their corner.
While scholarships and personal development awards provide financial support, mentorship provides something just as valuable- a trusted adult who can offer encouragement, guidance, and perspective as students navigate high school, higher education, career decisions, and life beyond graduation.
Our mentorship program (currently available for scholarship recipients only) pairs students with caring volunteers from the Arvada, Edgewater or Wheat Ridge communities who are committed to helping young people build confidence, overcome obstacles, and pursue their goals.
How the Program Works
Each student who participates in the mentorship program is thoughtfully matched with a volunteer mentor based on personality, interests, and goals.
Mentors and students connect regularly throughout the year through conversations, meetings, or community events, creating a supportive relationship built on trust and encouragement.
The goal isn’t to have all the answers- it’s to walk alongside students as they discover their own path.
Become a Mentor
You don’t have to be an expert-you simply have to care.
If you have a desire to encourage young people, share your experiences, and help students discover their potential, we’d love to welcome you as an AWRSAY mentor.
By volunteering your time, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a student’s life while strengthening our community for generations to come.
Mentors receive guidance, resources, and ongoing support from AWRSAY throughout the program.
Together, We Make a Difference
A scholarship can open a door.
A mentor can help a student walk through the door with confidence.
At AWRSAY, we believe the combination of opportunity, encouragement, and community support empowers students to build brighter futures-and we’re honored to be part of that journey.
Together, We Can Make a Difference
AWRSAY is powered by people who believe every student deserves encouragement, opportunity, and a community that believes in them.
